Kilang and Sandro’s elopement at MIDA in Boston was the kind of wedding that reminds you what it’s all about: love, culture, family, and sharing a really good meal with the people who matter most. Their story is uniquely beautiful. Kilang is Naga, from the northeastern region of India and Myanmar, and Sandro is from Russia. They met at church in Boston, and their connection grew into something truly special. On their wedding day, friends and family traveled from all over the world to celebrate, bringing a deep sense of love and community into every moment. Their pastor officiated the ceremony, and there were some tears shed as everyone reflected on the decisions and moments that brought Kilang & Sandro’s family and friends together for this celebration of their love. It’s stories like these that fill me with butterflies. Love is so beautiful in that it can take people from different parts of the world, and bring them together to create a new community. It was so beautiful to watch everyone meet and connect over their shared love of Kilang & Sandro.
MIDA was the perfect setting for their celebration. The food was incredible (seriously, I’m still thinking about it), and the vibe was relaxed, intimate, and joyful. Lunch was buffet style, and people grabbed food as they pleased, and sat with whoever they wanted. There was no strict timeline to follow, no rushing from location to location. That’s why I love elopements like this. No stress, just good conversation, laughter, and intentional time with loved ones.
I love elopements like this. They’re slow, meaningful, and real. And Kilang and Sandro’s day was a perfect reflection of the love they’ve built together.
